I have only just learnt that Matthew has died. I’m so terribly sorry to hear this. We worked together at NEL CSU. Matthew was an incredibly kind and decent man. My daughter was born about the same time as his son and I remember we chatted a lot when I was pregnant. My daughter was really unwell with when she was little and Matthew visited us in hospital and was very kind and supportive to me when I returned to work after a long absence caring for her. I remember so clearly how much he loved his family. Thinking of you all.

really shocked to hear of Matt's passing. He interviewed and employed me in the Specialist BI team at the CSU nearly 10 years ago and I was immediately struck by his friendliness, enthusiasm and energy (as well as being extremely capable). I will forever be grateful for the opportunity and support he gave me in those days. Thoughts are with his family.
